Yes, tnnc2, I was in Bangkok last spring and saw the show. I enjoyed it very much, and felt that it was similar to a Las Vegas revue. Not sexy, but with a variety of vignettes that told the story of the settlement of the city and the nation. Nice music, great sets and costumes, and an easy to follow story line. The ticket included a buffet meal beforehand, and there were opportunities to shop for folkloric items before and after the show.

Agree with John about SN. OUr family truly enjoyed it. What a great extravaganza !!! Great athletes/dancers & performers. What a colorful production. They had live animals on stage- an elephant, farm animals. I was so fascinated when I finally noticed the 'river' that appeared in front of us.
Booked online & the price included a RT transfer to your hotel, a buffet dinner ( skip it, it was the worst meal we had during our stay) . I am sure your 250 BHT will buy you a way better meal in a lot of places. If you get there early you will get to enjoy the shops in the area. Some of the goods are really nice however, prices are pretty steep.
I was too late to book with Oriental Escape , the cheapest of all the offerings. I think it was 500 BHT less than most of the others.
I hope you get to see it. You'll have a grand time !!!

Thanks to all. A Thai(American) friend is planning on seeing the show in July so I was wondering if it's worth it. My kids (8 and 11) do love dance and High School Musical so they would probably enjoy it. I'll have to see how much time we have in Bangkok.
