- for the plane, wear comfortable clothing like you would wear for a long car ride, that won't wrinkle too badly. I prefer wearing darker colors so if anything spills during the flight, it doesn't show as much as it would on light colors. Wear flat, comfy shoes that aren't too tight. Your feet may swell a bit from the plane ride and may stay a little puffy for a few days after.
- bring a wrap or sweater for the flight. Planes can be chilly. I bring a neck pillow too.
- during the flight, I don't wear makeup. Airplane air is dry. Drink water and juice during the flight (not alcohol). I avoid the fizzy/carbonated drinks because they can make you feel bloated.
- you can touch up your make up during the last hour of flight if you want to, but probably you'll be trying to sleep during the flight and no one cares how you look because they'll be sleeping too.
- bring light-weight cotton clothing and sandals. You don't need to dress like a nun, but don't bring things that will show cleavage, are tight, or too much leg. I leave my shorts at home. Skirts and sundresses may work best.
- I'm not familiar with Changi, so I can't help you there.
- stay hydrated during your stay. Wipe your face if you feel it getting oily. You can probably find a product where you live for oily skin.

Jaya has give you some good advice. I would hope that the organizers of the trip will also give you suggestions.
Changi Airport is perhaps the best airport in the world. There are all kinds of things to do in the airport or you can sign up for a free city tour from the airport.

sf, In the cities? At the beach or resorts, such clothing is fine.
Traditionally that much bare skin is seen as offensive by the locals. While when I was there I saw young German women in tank tops. they were stared at relentlessly and seemed very uncomfortable. No doubt as more visitors go to VN, more people will dress in ways that have traditionally been perceived by the VN as disrespectful.

Actually, I looked back through my pictures and for the most part I was wearing short- sleeve tops, not tank tops. I did wear shorts (not short-shorts, which i think are inappropriate for a woman my age <i>anywhere</I
everywhere except Hanoi ( it was too cold for shorts in Hanoi).

Trying to keep your skin from getting oily when you are there might be a losing battle. The humidity always wrecks havoc on my skin but I find that a oil mattifier (which goes under any makeup)and the occasional use of blotting paper helps alot. The blotting paper especially on the plane is nice since it's not a liquid and is light to carry. The ones I use are boscia Green Tea blotting linens.

In July in Vietnam! The climate is often cool ad humid, too. But I think this kind of weather is very comfortable for all of you. You can wear shots, skirts and sundresses when sometimes it is very hot of course. Coming to Vietnam and enjoy yourself.

Wearing tank tops is not frowned upon as much as before. Many fashion brands make tank tops and the Vietnamese are definitely into fashion. The main reason you don't see a lot of locals wearing tank tops is sun exposure. Tan skin can be seen as you work outside for a living, which for some means you are poor. This is the reason why you see many women wearing long gloves with their short sleeve shirts while riding their motorbikes. Just be smart about where you wear them.

Hi there
Vietnam easy destination to organize tour for students as long as you get deal with good vietnam travel company who specialized in holding school tour. To be rely a good school tour operation, the local they need to set up a good plan, must imagine all potential risky and them self must have analyze and assess priorities, because of school trip is more complicated compare with adult group, so safety must be first care of trip. such as boarding/ alighting airline, boarding buses, bus journey to sites, hotel's accommodations ( illness/ injury, boarding boat, swimming, all out door activities, food and water, walking on street, shopping... i have friends Brett and his colleagues just done 100 school boys, plus 9 teach with 5 star hotels and resort rate. In the mean time they did build a school for poor village out of Hue for 20 km, he said they are going to build houses for poor Khmer people on Mekong river bank next year, they are come from Oak Hill catholic school in Sydney Australia. trip always end up with very enjoyable and safety and have great culture and society education as well.
Return to your question about the weather in July, actually now is begin raining and typhoon season, but it does not mean rain last whole every days, in southern vietnam shower almost every days but every single shower just last for short time or maybe couple hours and sun up and hot again. but the most terrify would be typhoon, hard to predict specific date it come. i think if your skin is very sensitive with sunlight yeah! you just need to put block while having sun bath on beach, some places around the neck or arm..., in generally it is not the care about..
