Sorry I can't be more specific, however I was talking with a friend who'd been to China last year & cruised the Yantze on a chinese cruise ship (obviously not the Victoria Cruise boats) --- anyhow, her suggestion was to avoid the chinese cruise ships because:
1) Announcements & commentary were all in chinese (okay, no surprise there); and
2) Cleanliness --- despite being one of the high rated lines, it was not very clean

Not to worry! We used Regal China Cruises on a May trip up the Yangtze and found it to be perfectly fine. Food reasonable and plentiful, boat was clean, service attentive. Cabins seemed awfully small, pillows too soft, but hey! you're on a boat, after all -- and enjoying scenery that will soon be forever gone. If I'd make one recommendation, it would be to sail DOWN the river, not UP, and save some time. Five days is about 2 days too many on the boat. It's not a Princess ocean liner, after all, and doesn't offer nearly the activities that help pass the time when it's raining.
