Stan - I think you will have a great time with Ratt. Many many people have raved about her - and you have her personally taking you out which is great. Tong works for Ratt - they are on the same team . Yes one can book Tong independently, but also through Ratt so I think it is important not to see this as a Tong vs Ratt set up - they are not in competition as perhaps Ratt and Julietaxi are (v good reports on Julie also).

Tong and Ratt have both had rave reviews - it seems there are slight differences in style and focus so each person can read through reviews and decide which lady is more their style/focus. Also Bob has mentioned a new guide called Cherry so as and when people have used her and review her properly - apologies if I have missed a review by someone who has been out with Cherry - that is another alternative for people. Choice is good!

ok bob..I understand..
I know you have good intention for fodorites but local food is not that dirty or scary if it's well cooked and clean..people have to prepare their stomachf..just that..
I know Cherry might be good too. I haven't tried her so I can't give any review on her.
I used Tong and she was so impressive. Apart from that..she is a very good person..real devout Buddhist..and hardworking woman..what a good friend.. She was willing to answer or explain any question from me in the emails eventhough She got nothing from that...
sorry for my confusion in your case..

I had a really hard time understanding Ratt..But at the same time...i had good laugh's with her..I was sitting in the front seat with her all the way back to BKK because i got car sick and she never stopped talking to me for a second!! Eventually i fell asleep and when i woke up she was still talking!! When we arrived back to the Marriott..I went to the ATM and it didn't work...so i didn't have enough cash to pay her..So she left and trusted that i would leave the money at reception..When i got the money later that evening, i took it to reception and they would not take it..So i called her and she came to the hotel the next morning and picked it up...But she couldn't figure out why the Marriott would not take an envelope for her as she said she does it all of the time..Anyhow, my point was that she did go out of her way for us and i don't really have any complaints..She had cold water and pop in the car and when i got car sick she immediately stopped the car and gave me this sniffing stuff she had..So she was very helpful and kind..

We recently returned from our Thailand holiday had the awesome experience of having Tong drive us! We fortunatley were linked with her through Ratt-she was quite excited about the new Toyota cruiser van she was to purchase a few days after we left. She has incredible knowledge of the history, culture and life of Bangkok and Thailand and loves to share with her clients. On top of that, she has one of the most warm, welcoming personalities and greatest sense of humor you will find. Top of the line service, excellent English skills-Highly recommended!

Hello all - for anyone who wants to book Tong, please contact her directly at [email protected] as she is now working independently as a licensed guide. I said above that she could be booked through Ratt but I am wrong and she should be contacted directly.

Tong continues to provide us with such fantastic service - even in advance of us arriving in Thailand! I have been having dilemmas as to when to time the morning Buddhist ceremony for our wedding. She has asked for details of our dates of birth and times of birth and is going to find out the most 'auspicious' time to get married. Just hoping it isn't 6.30am...

BB-

It is so cool that you are having a buddhist wedding ceremony.Sounds like your wedding plans are really coming together. I also had an overseas destination wedding so I understand your stress!

I too am very much looking forward to meeting Tong in just under a month.

Hi cruisinred

Where did you get married? Compared to my friends who have married at home, I am not as stressed as they were but I am still stressed! I have had my Bridezilla moments and panics too! After one fluttery panic, Tong sent me a saying - we can't cover the sky by our hands - I keep telling myself that when my OCD tendencies start to overwhelm...

Hope you have fun with Tong and look forward to reading your report after
