Quick Q: Kyoto Rental above professional potter

In a recent thread, someone reported back on their stay in a Kyoto rental owned by a professional ceramics master. It sounded lovely but I cannot find the thread (and failed to bookmark it).

Does anyone remember the place I mean, and who posted it, or better still, have a link?

Thank you so much!

Kavey,

The place you're referring to is Tenseian Kiyomizu Kyoto Guest House. I believe the link is tenseian.com.

We will be staying there this fall, so I can follow up to let you know how it is. I think the person who originally posted the information was leslieq.

I hope this helps (I know your trip reports have helped me!)

Kavey,

You might have read my trip report. We stayed with Hariguchi-san in April and absolutely loved the apartment. He is such a gracious host, giving you little hand drawn maps of his area with recommendations of what to see and do. He offered to give us a personal tour one afternoon but we unfortunately couldn't take him up on it as I have a friend living with his Japanese wife in Kyoto and we had a date with him that afternoon.

If you have any questions about anything after reading my trip report, you can write to me at [email protected] as I'm not checking the Asia forum as often as I had been. I recognize your name and probably read one of your trip reports before we went!

Leslie

Thanks Leslie, that's very kind of you - yes I read your report at the time, and once internetwiz had kindly reminded me of your user name, I went and found it again yesterday and re-read it. Looks like a great option, just need to finalise my itinerary before I can book anything! Thanks again!
