Phuket, Phi Phi weather in early June

Hi,
I have booked a trip to Thailand 25th May-9th June and I am now really worried about the weather in Phuket and Phi Phi at this time of year.... I have been to Koh Samui at this time of year many times before and the waether has been fine but I know Phuket side is wetter at this time. How bad does it get? I love the beach and would be so dissapointed if it rained all day. A few showers here and there are ok but I don't want to need Noah and his ark to come and rescue me!!!
Please advise.
Thanks.

http://thailandforvisitors.com/south/phukvsam.html compares Samui and Phuket rainfall. Rain generally comes in the afternoon/evening, and seldom does it rain all day for days on end. I wouldn't worry.

It is rainy season in June but it doesn't rain for long. You'll be fine.
Here is another weather link. I have taken you to May 2006. Notice the buttons 'next day and previous day'. You can scroll through your entire holiday dates and see detailed weather accounts. You can even do it for the last ten years!!!

So long as you are aware it is the rainy season and appreciate that if it does rain, well, it 'is' the rainy season.
To compare with Samui the stats show May 6.9 and June 5.3

For Phuket that time May 13.7 and June 8.4

So there is a difference.

What the weather is like can be luck, you could get solid sunshine, perhaps a few breaks of rain, perhaps more, it depends and varies a great deal. The good thing is the rates are low !
I lived in Phuket for many years and it varied a great deal year to year, it all depends on the strength and time the rains arrive.
