Phu Chaisai near Chiang Rai

I've searched the forum for any reports on phu chaisai, in the hills outside of Mae Chan, in Chiang Rai.

Tentatively planning on staying there 4 days. They have many activities and it looks pretty relaxing. I found some 2nd hand reporting but no one who has actually been there...anyone?

I've stayed there a few years ago at the owner's residence. Here are my most memorable recollection of the resort:

- Nice and cozy atmosphere during the cooler months.
- Open air living room at our residence with a nice warm fireplace.
- Very remote and far from town, about 45 minutes drive.
- Food was good.
- Spa was good.

This was maybe 4 years ago so I'm sure a lot have change.

It looks very nice. It's currently featured in travel magazines and tour brochures in Japan and gets good reviews.
