Panda Tour in China
I plan to have a giant panda tour in China in the middle of June? The most famous city to see panda is Chengdu, so I will spend 4 to 5 days in this city. And I would like to know
1. Chengdu Giant Panda Base or Wolong Giant Panda Nature Reserve, which one is better?
2. Besides to see panda, any other recommended attractions for my first-time Chengdu travel?
3. How can I arrange my extension tour from Chengdu? Is Chengdu easy to enter into Tibet? Besides the extension route to Tibet, any other cities can be arranged as the top China travel tours?
Thanks

In my opinion, Wolong Panda Reserve may be better because the place is a base to keep the original living environment of Giant Panda.Located at the southwest of Wenchuan County, and first constructed in 1963, it is one of the earliest comprehensive national reserves. The place has more than 100 pandas, accounting 10% of the total number in the country. Besides, there are other rare animals and plants as well as rich water resources.
Chengdu Panda Reserch Base is in the city area while the Wolong Base is located near the Chengdu city and should be got by bus.

Have you considered seeing the pandas in the wild? It is rough work but I have been to both places you are planning on going but the experience is somewhat zoo-like (unless things have changed in the recent years). You can reach the only company dealing with wild panda safaris at: www.wildgiantpanda.com
I am not sure how solid your plans are just yet, but nothing beats seeing the critters in the wild!
Cheers,

To Coke,
I am glad to heat that you will have a tour to get touch with the wild animals. Maybe I have no more time to do the preparation of this kind of tour. So I anticipate your travel story about this tour after you finish it.
