From the list of places you provided, these are touristy parks and I am sure you will not have problem with leeches.

Thanks everyone for the great tips. We are going to the Semenggoh Orang Center, so I'm glad you gave me a heads up re the Orangs grabbing things! Re the electricity, my LP guide book says I will need the 3 lg prong British-style adaptors. Just want to verify this.

TravelTwiddle--The article on what to pack was very helpful--especially the part about shoes. Both links were to the same article, so I didn't read any more on leeches. But, as you and others had said, it is unlikely we will encounter any. Still--I'm bringing along a pair of knee socks.
