Overnight Hotel Room at Bangkok Airport
I now know why I make the plans!!!!My DH decided he did not like the routing on our fligjt to Cambodia so worked with our Aeroplan to make a change. The good news it is 3 flights instead of 4, the bad news is as follows:
1. No two seats together from LA to Narita
2. Narita to Bankok back of Business Class near the toilets
3. Nine hour from 10:30 pm to 7:30 am lay over before flight to Phom Penh.
All that being said I want to book a hotel for the overnight stay. Does anyone have any suggestions.?
Some airports have rooms in the airport so no need to go through customs etc, does Bangkok have any of this.
Help we leave on Wedmesday morning.

The closest hotel is the Novotel Suvarnabhumi. It's a bit on the pricey side, but it is clean, comfortable and convenient. There are some other nearby hotels like the Best Western Amaranth, farther away than the Novotel. And there are the Louis Tavern Transit dayrooms inside the airport.
I've stayed at the Novotel a number of times with that kind of layover. I usually book on agoda.com, but I also check the Novotel website for specials.

As Kathie alluded to, there is a transit hotel in the secure area of the airport, but this is only an option if you are able to check your luggage through to PP. You'll need to check with the airline.
Otherwise, you will have to go through immigration, get your bags, go through customs and then stay at a hotel outside the airport. As Kathie says the Novotel is right at the airport. There are dozens of others in the area around the airport, including a Best Western that was very nice but much less than the Novotel.

Hotel Suvarnabhumi is lovely. I stayed there in 2007 on a layover to Vietnam Nam. They have a wonderful spa where I had the best ever massage. So good that I returned in 2011 on a trip to Thailand. Beautiful open restaurant in the expansive lobby. Highly recommend this hotel.
