Oriental BKK Spa

Does anyone know if you can walk to the Oriental's spa from the Peninsula. We want to do a 1/2 spa package on our day of arrival in BKK. The Peninsula's new spa will not be finished yet and we want to do more than just an in room massage. I know there are less expensive options around BKK but we just want to plop and be pampered. We get in very ealy in the morning and thought this would be a good way to recouperate after long day of travel. Thanks.

yes, it's a very short walk -- maybe 10 minutes maximum

There are free shuttle boats plying between the ramp near Shangri-la to the Peninsula and the Oriental by the respective hotels. You can take the Pen boat to the Shang ramp and then the Oriental boat to Oriental then another Oriental boat across to their spa. Quite a few trips but I have always enjoyed the river crossings. There's a lot of activity on the river.
