I am from Brisbane, Australia and I am about to do another round the world trip in November 2006, I get to choose 1 asian stopover only and I would like your opinion as to which I should choose. The options are - Singapore Hong Kong Manila Seoul Shanghai or Tokyo
I am a 22yo male, I am a firefighter, I have been to Bangkok and did not like it. The other stops on my trip are - Frankfurt, Oslo, Lofoten Islands (Norway), Paris, Vancouver, Hawaii. Thanks for your opinions.

mrwun's question is a good one...if we knew more about you and your interests then we could better make a suggerstion..

off the top of my head if it were me i would choose either hong kong or shanghai and perhaps tokyo....depends on what you like to do and see...

I have not been to Seoul or Shanghai but of the others I would definitely choose Hong Kong but as others say it depends on why you were not happy with Bangkok.
