NYTimes travel article on Bumrungrad
Tomorrow's Sunday NYTimes Travel section has an interesting article on medical tourism generally, and Bumrungrad specifically. In view of the many other recent stories appearing in the media on foreign hospital treatments now being covered by US insurers, you wonder if the trend will start to grow exponentially.
My technical skills are limited, and for some reason the URL link doesn't seem to work. But, if you google the title of the story it should come up:
"Sometimes, Sightseeing Is a Look at Your X-Rays"
New York Times, May 20, 2007

The url was quite long, I copied onto tunyurl ( hope it works ) straight to the article:
http://tinyurl.com/2pc3tl
or
scroll quite a way down the page on:
http://travel.nytimes.com/pages/travel/
( That will I guess only bring it up until replaced by next week's edition )
Worth noting ( again ) that they have an excellent Dental facility
Interesting article in the travel section on Dubai too!

My friend had the Bumrungrad Executive Physical in October. They found a tumor on his kidney.
He decided to have it removed there. He was very happy, as the service, quality of treatment, and level of luxury was 5 Star.
If he didn't catch it then, it probably would have been terminal by now. That physical saved his life, and now he's doing great.

Our local medical insurance covers us for most good hospitals here even Bumrungrad so it's good.
