Notice of permit - Imperial Palace - Modification
Hello - this may be a very specific question, but I am hoping that someone here is in a position to assist.
Earlier today, I have secured a permit to visit Imperial Palace for a date in May for my son and his girlfriend. During the registration process for a party of 2, I got confused by the layout and made a mistake - registering the same person twice, as opposed to registering both members of the party. Now the permit has been issued - but whereas my son’s information, passport number, etc. has been included - twice! - his girlfriend’s information has not. Now, unless I can find a way to fix it, I may have ruined a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a young woman to visit the palace. Needless to say, I feel terrible about the mistake. Can anyone here offer any insights or relevant experience, as to how a problem like this might be fixed? I’ve sent a short email to the one email address I could find and have been calling now, trying to connect with someone live. Anyone here can provide some guidance? That would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Did you notify the ticket agency that an error has been made? Can they correct it? If not, can you cancel the reservations and make two correct reservations immediately afterwards? Or can you afford three reservations and just make the third one for the same to9ur at the same date and hour?

Did you sign up with the imperial palace office or an outside agency? I ask because I took a palace tour in early February, signed up with the imperial household office website:
https://sankan.kunaicho.go.jp/english/about/koukyo.html
There were very few actually registered in advance, 3 of us I think. The rest were all walk-ups & I think everyone got in. I will also say that I was very disappointed with the tour. I didn't realize that at no time would we enter a palace building, except when they give a talk beforehand in a kind of utility room before they start. The "tour" is simply a fast walk around the grounds in a huge group & I'm not sure if it was worth the bother, a pretty perfunctory walk around.

We did book through the agency - the 50 spots are gone, so perhaps you got lucky! But in fact, the problem has now been resolved. A very nice lady eventually answered my call, located the booking and helped sorting it all out. Needless to say, we’re all very relieved!
Thanks for chiming in, I appreciate the help!
