Seems like an amazing place! I would love to hear from others that have been there.
I plan on staying at Mut Mee if I do end up here. I would love to hear from others that have also been here@
Thanks!

nang kai. I've been up there twice but never stayed long. it's a boarder town and looks like one from what little I saw. There wasn't anything to special. I have never heard nang Kai being described as amazing either not even from some people that I now who were born there, but do post what you have found to be amazing and maybe I will check it out when I need to make a 'run" to laos. I just asked my Gf about nang kai, and said ther is a famous resort up there.

Okay, so maybe "amazing" is pushing it a little.
Mut Mee's looks like a nice place to relax for a couple of days and relaxing is what I plan on doing during my trip in November.
It is also an easy gateway into Vientieng, which offers daily flights to Luang Prabang. That is really the main reason I may stay here.
Thanks!

My brother and his wife went up there in 2004. They loved it. They stayed in basic accomodations. One day they hired a driver to visit out-of-the-way Wats. Another day they rented scooters and wandered on their own. They always ate breakfast at a place where they were the only Farangs and no English was spoken. Their stories of pantomiming eggs are quite funny.
