Nikes and Reeboks

Can you buy Nikes and Reeboks cheap in Bangkok?
Also, I read somehwere about a tailor who makes jeans, I think it may have been Duma's, could someone please tell me where they are located.

You'll certainly be able to buy them cheaper than in London! Be very careful, however, even some of the reputable looking shops sell copies

A recent consumer report in Australia concluded that many much cheaper brands are of the same quality, or better than, these well-known brands. Many Asian knock-off products are indistinguishable in both appearance and quality to the genuine article - in fact I sometimes wonder whether they're being made on the night shift in the same factory. My optometrist was certainly convinced that the "Gucci" sunglass frames I bought in Hanoi were genuine. Some knock-offs, of course, can be inferior.

Hi' I copied this from message 11

"I've also bought jeans from ravi's shop in the Bel-Air hotel in BKK, and I'm very satisfied with them."

Nike sports shoes are around US35-US80 depending on the model. We bought several pairs of cross-trainers suitable for running, walking etc. for US37 at Central Dept. Store in Hat Yai. The Chitlom Central Dept store in BKK had similar prices for Brooks, Nike, Adidas etc. Not sure about Reeboks.

We found Vietnam, where most of the Nikes are made, more expensive than Thailand for authentic Nike brand shoes.
