New Delhi Hotel - any suggestions for under 150$?

Can anyone suggest a New Delhi hotel, preferably under 150$? I've checked a couple already (The Connaught, Hanz Plaza, Diplomat, Hotel Vikram,Hyatt Regency, Oberoi Maidens Hotel, etc) and they all seem booked. Help.

The only one showing availability for my dates (and price) is Hotel Janpath but it has horrible reviews on tripadvisor. The rest are all over 250$ which is a little over my budget. Any suggestions would be welcome.

We stayed at the owner of La Sagrita's own home, in Delhi. His hotel was full and he kindly arranged for us to stay in his self contained flat in Greater Kalaish which is in a lovely area in Sthn Delhi. Great shopping too! Fabulous guy and his La Sagrita Tourist Tourist home in Sunder Nagar is great value, under $100USD. Ph 243 58572 or google for email address.

based omreviews here, in frommers and on tripadvisor,we booked at the Master Paying Guest House. It is just that, but read the reviews first before you decide a hotel is absolutely what you want. we are really looking forward to this opportunity.

Id second Lyndie's recommendation. Locating a hotel in this budget is difficult. You should opt for the guest houses in South Delhi with Sunder Nagar being one of the best areas. Apart from La Sagrita, there Maharani & Jukaso Inn also in Sunder Nagar. Or consider Ahuja Residency (Golf Links) or Lutyens Guest House (Prithviraj Road). Hope youre able to find them on Google.
