Need valid phone # for US Bangkok Air

Based on everyone's recommendations, I've been trying to purchase a Discovery Pass to use for my trip from BKK to Siem Reap Nov. 26. All of the phone #s and e-mail addresses provided by Bangkok Air in their e-mail to me are not valid. NYC Directory Assistance did not even have a listing for Bangkok Air. Can anyone help? I'm leaving for Thailand Oct. 26 and need to have these reservations nailed down because of high season in Nov. Thanks everyone!!!

Thanks!!! I just called the 866 number and was able to book the 3 segments with Discovery Pass rates ($280 incl. taxes) for BKK-SR-BKK, and one way BKK-Chiang Mai! Now--another question: the reservation agent told me to mail a money order or cashier's check to the NYC office, yet that phone is out of service, as are phones at all other city offices listed by BKK Air. Maybe they're all now using the call center 866 number (in India) instead of a local number and the offices are still open? Does anyone live in NYC and know if the Fifth Ave. office is still open (350 Fifth Ave., Ste. 1421)? Oh, a bit of info that may help someone else: the reservation agent said there would be no charge to change the dates of my flights, but if I had booked on the website there would be.
Again, thanks everyone!

I'll be able to answer your concern in a few days as I just mailed my bank check to Bangkok Air at the New York address. I assume that you got their email with the instructions as I did. I'll let you know if all goes well.

HI,
I recently sent a cashiers check to Bangkok Air in LA and the eight tickets I ordered came to me, no problem. They were very helpful as well. As a note, I always send important mail certified return reciept.

Dear rhkkmk: I didn't have any confidence in the address because they had already emailed me a list of out-of-service phone numbers and e-mail addresses. Seems the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
The good news is that I received my tickets today, and from the DHL label I discovered that they came from a travel agent named Sita World Travel, 350 5th Ave., Ste 1421, NYC 10118, which evidently handles Bangkok Air. Their direct phone number is 212-279-6601.

I booked my Discovery Pass tickets via phone last night and the agent said they'd send an email with directions on where to send the cashier's check, but nothing yet. Am I being too impatient? How long did it take you all to get a response on where to mail the check?

Althom I booked my tickets via telephone, got an email within a day or two, sent in the bank check according to the directions (I sent a printed copy with the check) and received paper tickets about 2 weeks later via DHL overnight. No problems, no glitches. Hope everything works this way for you. Russ

I called last Sun using the number Rhkkmk (Bob) provided. Told me to call back Mon. Since I'm on the west coast, they told me to mail a cashier's check to CA. I have the address if you need it. Sent the check Delivery Confirmation Request, so I know they got it Wed.

I called yesterday and the tickets haven't been issued yet. Said to call back Mon and they could tell me for sure. I had sent in the extra $15 for priorty mail.

Said I should receive it by Wed. WE're leaving Sat, so I'm anxious.

The people I spoke with were very helpful, just wish we had made up our minds sooner.

Booking this thing is proving to be frustrating.

I called the 866 number and made flight reservations on Thursday or Friday last week. I was told that I would be sent an email with information on where I should send my cashier's check.

So far, no email. When I called them to ask to send me an email, they sent me my itinerary...not payment information.

I hate Indian customer service.

BTW - Granny - could you send me the address for the Los Angeles office? I'm on the West Coast (actually in LA), so I'm sure thats where I need to send my check.

Sure Johnnyman7. I called 866 226 4565 and sent a money order plus $15 for priority delivery to Bangkok Airways, 16250 Ventura Boulevard, Suite 115, Encino, CA 91436.

I sent them my reservation number/record locator and when I was leaving. I talked to Carl today and he said I should have the tickets Wed. I'll let you know when I get them. Hope you're not in as much of a rush as we are.

I got the email with the payment instructions, but they got our last names wrong! Dutler rather than Butler. I was sure they said B as in Boy over the phone, but the email said Dutler. Interestingly, my email address has my last name in it and the service rep commented on it! So he got the email right (because I received it), but typed the name wrong in the text of the email. With the check I'm sending is a note saying our name is Butler not Dutler, so hopefully they'll get it right. I'm wondering if I should call, but I had so much trouble understanding the last guy that I'm thinking the written word might be easier! Hopefully my tickets will arrive without any problems. At least I have plenty of time. (Not leaving till February.)

Got our Bangkok air tickets late today. Took 11 days from when I ordered them. They were very helpful, but if you order them late, like I did, I think you need to keep following up with them. If I had followed up last week, instead of waiting, I bet I would have had them a couple days earlier.

The stress is off now, and we're looking forward to our trip in two days.
