Thanks Bob, for the good wishes. We're all packed and ready to go and the sun just came out, so I'll take that as a good sign.

Can't wait to try some of those restaurants you suggested, but we might skip chicken and eggs. My husband said he's only going to eat veggies. Hope he changes his mind.

tell the boss that shrimp is the best thing to eat in thailand...they are not large generally like we have but very good....

eat the chicken and the eggs if well cooked...

Just FYI: you can ask them to send you e-tickets instead of paying $15 for paper tickets.

Can you charge the tickets by phone (I think I read there is a 5% service charge) and then get e-tickets?

The only way to charge by phone is via a credit card, so yes, there is a 5% charge for that. I just sent a money order and requested e-tickets, which was all free.
