Need Thai air US contact number

I have been trying to reach Thai Air in the US to get seat assignments for a flight on Friday. The number I have is 800-426-5204, but constantly has a busy ring tone, with no holding option. Does anyone have another number or suggestion. I have gone to United (original carrier), but they tell me I need to contact Thai air.

It looks from the website that Thai Air has closed its US offices as of last fall. You might try these Thai numbers:

(66-2) 356-1111
(66-2) 545-3691

Thai Air has closed their US offices. I got seat assignments by sending email to an office in Australia. They were very prompt at replying.

Surprising that Thai cut their offices here.

Larry, they suspended all flights to/from the US, so also closed their offices here.

Thank you Kathie. When did they do that? Is it fairly recent? I am nearly certain recalling seeing their gates at O'Hare.

I believe it has been in the last 6-8 months, so yes, recently. Thai Airways got some "bad" reports on servicing of their planes, which lowered their overall rating. They cut their service to the USA shortly before or after that happened. I (we) really enjoy flying their A380s to Bangkok from several European hubs, using our FF miles for the holidays. I hope they get their rating issues solved.

I'd love to see Thai re-starting some of their routes to/from the US. I flew Thai Air way back when they had a flight from Seattle to Bangkok with a stop in Taipei.

I agree with Carol, business class on their A380s is superb. We flew BKK-NRT on that plane and it was bliss!

This is good info to know as I didn't know that they were no longer here in L.A. For years, I used to call them up, chat with the reservationist, and then have them work on my ticket and would then zip down the freeway to their office on Sepulveda to pick up my ticket. Sometimes, I'd just drive down there without even calling first and they'd work on my ticket while I had lunch at the cafeteria in the same building as they were located at 222 N. Sepulveda Blvd, just south of LAX. Singapore Air is also in that same building. I've been taking Singapore Air since Thai Air canceled its 18-hour, non-stop flights out of LAX. I hope that Thai Air gets its act together.

Happy Travels!

Kathie, just to clarify, we've used miles for 1st, not biz, for the last 3-4 holidays in Thailand trips. Trust me, it 's a real treat!

Guenmai, I hope Thai Airways gets things under control and comes back to LAX. Would consider that optionfor sure.

Ah, Carol, I haven't flown in first on the A380... I don't think there was a First class section on the flight we took. But given how good Biz was on that plane, I'm sure First would be fabulous!
