Need HOTELS in Tokyo: 2 day Layover
Hi,
I am flying back from Bangkok in October and have a connect through Tokyo. I would like to stay there for 2 days before flying back to the U.S.
Any suggestions on hotels that are close to downtown TOkyo that are not too expensive. My budget is $200 (USD) for 2 days. I considered Marriott Ginza.
HELP please!!
Thanks!!

We are considering staying at this hotel in March, which was recommended in National Geographic Traveler magazine.
Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza

I recently stayed in and highly recommend the Hotel Century Southern Tower (www.southerntower.co.jp) in Shinjuku. It's an oasis of quiet and luxury but only 1 block from Shinjuku station and Narita Express. The bus from Narita also stops at hotel. The hotel is about $170.00 per night.

Is your budget $200 or $100 per night?
What do you want to do/see in Tokyo (vibrant urban stuff vs traditional sightseeing)? Tokyo offers a wide range of activities and hotels. We can give more suggestions if you provide more info.
