Need Help Guilin To Hong Kong
My China Trip is in October. I plan to book internal flights once we arrive. Should I also wait to book tickets from Guilin to Hong Kong or do this in advance? I checked out flychina.com and the one way fares were between $250-$300 which seems high. I would appreciate suggestions.
Thanks,
Les

We flew Guilin to Shenzen and then took the bus into Hong Kong (1 hr or so). There's also a ferry you can take. Besides the tickets being cheaper, there's the advantage of an early morning departure which can put you into your hotel in Hong Kong by noon.

Les--
We had planned to take the ferry but it was a Sunday and it would have been a two hour wait for the ferry while the bus was right there and put us on Nanjing Road before the ferry even left. Our big mistake was not having Hong Kong dollars for the cab ride to the hotel. RMB are not accepted in Hong Kong, despite what someone on the plane told us.

Don't fly from Hong Kong to Guilin. Instead, fly from Shenzhen. It is much cheaper and you can get more flights.
To get to Shenzhen from Hong Kong there are a number of options depending on what time you arrive in Hong Kong. The ferry is the easiest option but there are no ferries after 7.30pm
