Hong Kong hotel Wanchai
I am thinking of booking the Hotel Novotel, Jaffe road, Wanchai HK. How is the location in regards to most tourist sites? We will be there 2 1/2 D/3N later this year. Thanks.

It's fine. You can walk to the Wan Chai MTR station in about 7-8 minutes, which is one stop from Causeway Bay, 2 stops from Central, etc... You're also just just one block from the Hong Kong Tramway. Or about 10 minutes walk to the Wan Chai Ferry Pier to take the Star Ferry across the harbor to Tsimshatsui.
It's not the most upscale of elegant part of Hong Kong, but it's alright. Like many newer 3* hotels in Hong Kong, the rooms are pretty small, however.

I've stayed in Wan Chai every time I've went to Hong Kong. You've got easy access to the Star Ferry (love Kowloon...make sure you check it out), easy access to the trolleys and lots of selections for restaraunts and nightclubs (just beware of go-go bars).

I think it's a good area to taste the "real" Hong Kong. And there are lots of eateries on Lockhart Rd and Jaffe Road. You can also just stroll to Causeway Bay where there are lots and lots of shops and restaurants.
