Nagoya hotel?
Tried several sites to get into the Sunroute Hotel for the price and location, but they seem to be sold out for our weekend, March 24 & 25. Any other suggestions? WE never spend much time in the room, just use it for sleeping. But we really like private bath!

I can find rooms available on the Sunroute's website for 9000 yen...but only a single room on the Noritake plan, whatever that is. Some twin room plans are listed as "on special request" or something like that. On other days, twin or doubles ranged from 8625 to 18,000.
The Sunroutes location isn't that great. It's kind of beside the station, and after dark, the street there is dark and quiet. Not unsafe I don't think, at least, but dark and spooky to me when I was alone.
I stayed in this hotel a number of years ago, and it is really nothing more than a place to sleep...we really didn't like it, and it was the place that tipped us over the edge...we quit business hotels altogether and started staying in real hotels, and were suprised to find that the cost wasn't significantly more than the buisness hotels, but the service and rooms and just everything was infinitely a nicer experience.
But that wasn't your question. For a same class hotel, try Toyoko Inn. Tokyu hotels are also not bad...but their rates in English are high...in Japanese they are cheaper.
There must be something going on that weekend, because the Nagoya Hilton is sold out.
There's a Castle Inn, the Marriott Associa right in the station...there are loads of business hotels in the area, but I really can't remember their names.

Try the APA hotels. The APA Hotel has rooms, but the APA Villa Hotel has tons of rooms and just opened in October. Both are located about 10 minutes from the station in the heart of the downtown area...shops, restaurants galore. The price is excellent, and APA hotels are fine, especially if they are new. Here's a link to their Japanese reservation page showing availability for your dates as of now. You will need a reservation in Japanese because there is no English for the APA villa yet. And, the English language prices are higher for the APA hotel...like more than double higher. No credit card is needed. A taxi from the station to the hotel will cost slightly more than one to the Hilton...which costs 700 to 800 yen.
