Progol, I agree 100% with your respectful and understanding comments.
In all communication, it's not what, but how, comments are made, or advice given.
As if to prove the point that everyone travels differently- I'd have found two full nights on Bai Tu Long Bay one night too long. One night was perfect for me, within the time I had, but Caryn loved two! Different strokes indeed, Progol.
Caryn, perhaps your travel agent wisely realized at that point of the trip, you would welcome two nights/days of r and r on the boat, sailing through the magnificent scenery.
I appreciate you giving the reasons for your rankings. Thanks for your TR here and in the Vietnam section of the Forum.

CaliNurse, thank you! You said it perfectly -- it's not just what, but how we communicate that's important.
And Caryn and Cali, when I finally do get to Vietnam, I will definitely take a junk through Bai Tu Long Bay, as it looks beautiful and very relaxing.
Thanks again for posting, CampingCaryn, I've enjoyed reading about your travels.

I am sorry I was away from this forum for a while. My husband and I took our grand kids to Disney. We went at a frantic pace (only kidding). We had a great time. As for LL I think we are all in agreement that he has his own issues. The idea of posting on these forums is to share and that's what I did.
In retrospect. I was asked if I had to eliminate one country which one would that be? Upon further thought I think I would have eliminated Lao. Not that I didn't love it, but I would probably tack it on to a trip to Myanmar and perhaps another country. 3 countries really would have been ideal. A little more time in each one. But like I said before I have no regrets, just happy memories. I would love to get back to the area again and hopefully I will. Enjoy your travels.
