Mr. Eddie: Lack of Prompt Response?
I have been working with Mr. Eddie to book my ticket from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang and also from Luang Prabang to Hanoi. When I initiated contact I found that he took 2-3 days to respond.
I faxed payment confirmation to him on Friday, Oct. 20th and asked for confirmation as soon as he booked the flights. It is now Tuesday, Oct. 24th and it is afternoon on Oct. 25th in Bangkok.
I have not heard back from him.
During the time I have been waiting for him to confirm my flights the airfare from Hanoi back to Bangkok has gone up.
I am aware of the time difference so I am taking that into consideration but I am concerned with his lack of response.
For those of you that have worked with him, how long should I expect to wait for confirmation?
Thanks!

Scotters and others:
The leg from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang was 3860 THB
The leg from Luang Prabang was 5870 THB
I am booking my own leg from Hanoi back to Bangkok to save myself about $180!! I am booking that on Air Asia, a discount airline.
I would also like to add that Mr. Eddie has been very nice to work with. He responds with very clear flight plans.
He did apologize for the late response which was not really that late because Monday was a holiday, as Bob pointed out.

remember that many of these discount airlines do have service problems....late departures, cancelled flights, etc....so when on tight schedules i often think that the money saved may in fact not be money saved at all....the prices are sure attractive however...
many fodorites have reported these problems, especially with air asia..

I flew at least 2 legs on Air Asia in Feb. and had no problem, flights were on time.
We did, however, have a very long delay on Bangkok Air. All airlines have delays at some point. I would always leave at least 3 hours between connecting flights when possible, no matter what the airline is.
I am catching an early afternoon flight to Bangkok on Nov. 25th so that should allow plenty of time to make it to Tawandang by 7:00.
