Mini Boston GTG

My wife Iris and I had the pleasure of attending a mini GTG hosted by Bob and Karen with the Gpandas (Andy & Beth) also gracing the event with their presence.

Needless to say the evening was a complete pleasure. Bob and Andy were in great form as usual notwithstanding the disparaging remarks about Scotland and the Scottish--or as Bob likes to say the Scotch.

Karen must have been preparing the food all day because it was a great spread.

So although we are going to miss the main event--the Boston GTG--both Iris and I feel lucky that we had such a great opportunity.

So, it must be safe to venture into the depths of Needham... what say you? Some of the BOS "GTGers" will go there on Friday evening. Do we need to bring along food tasters? (lol)

Sorry you won't be there for the big GTG. Maybe another time?

Carol

In truth, I had a very good time as well. Bob's medications were properly adjusted. The food was great. Rob and Iris were able to easily hold their own. It's not like they were going to get outsmarted by the likes of Bob and Panda.

I do object to the characterization of any event in Needham as a Boston anything. I went through all the trouble of getting a visa. It's NOT Boston.

Sorry that you will not be at the "regular" BOSTON GTG, Rob and Iris - we will miss you.

Carol--no food tasters necessary--although on second thoughts I would suggest that you apply for the job, that way you will get second helpings of everything!

Craig--we will miss you all as well.

Andy--I think that you need to get on the weights--the muscles were looking a bit flabby! You will need to be in tip top shape to carry Bob through the GTG.

Sorry Andy but Needham is a lovely area.

The muscles are there, but covered by a small layer of cuddly dormant muscle, i.e., fat.

If you want you can use my normal reply--I am just big-boned!

Plus we who live in northern climes need a layer of blubber to ward of the effects of winter.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Not everyone is a Giant panda. We are a rare breed. Thankfully, so is Bob. One is an endangered species, beloved by everyone. The other lives in Needham.

Those with Hyatt Summerfield Suites rooms reservations should check at Hyatt dot com now for new rates. I show AAA and senior rates for $98.00 per night on Oct 10-12

Aloha!
