as delta and northwest are getting married you have more options...n/w can get you to either singapore or bangkok and maybe k/l....from there you could take air asia.....btw air asia has a new non stop from bkk to denespar...
there are other options like tiger air from singapore to bali...
in bali you might like the alam shanti....get the gangga room as it is the #1 room in the place..

bob, my miles are actually on Continental. They're actually moving over into Star Alliance in October, so I may wait until then, as I'd MUCH prefer to fly Thai or Singapore.

Don't expect you'll immediately get to use your CO miles on SQ or TG after CO leaves Skyteam on 10/24.
They'll try to enter Star as soon as possible, but CO is prohibited from making a lot of negotiations with the various Star carriers while still a Skyteam member. They may try to get some agreement with United first, but I don't expect them to be a formal Star member till early 2010.
