I had a visitor this afternoon. I had no idea Cheryl & Russ (from Honolulu) were in Bangkok. It was good to see ypu. And thank you for the basket of flowers. They brighten my room.
PET scan tomorrow. Not sure how or if Hua Hin will fit in our schedule. Not sure how many days I will spend at Bumrungrad. One day at a time.

Sorry my trip report is not so interesting.... I wish I was out finding new restaurants instead of being in the hospital!
Thanks everyone for the well wishes and healing thoughts. I hope to recover and get out there and enjoy Thailand.

Just checking into the Asia Board for the first time in a while. Although I emoted on your post on FB, I had no idea that this was to be a longer hospital stay. At least you are in good hands, Carol. Feel better soon!

Feeling 90% better today, thank goodness. I may leave tomorrow, but probably Friday. We will fly home sometime next week rather than 11th as scheduled. Doctor says I should be home. But I want to stay in warm Bangkok!!! Grrr
Thanks for all the well wishes from everyone. This past month has been what I would call pretty dark. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel at last! 2016 will surely be better.
The guys have eaten at old familiar places such as the Mexican restaurant at the EmQuartier helix and Monsoon on soi 8. Sorry to be missing the great food, but really no choice right now.
Will keep posting from hospital and apartment until we depart. Lat is coming so she is going to learn what REAL COLD WEATHRR feels like. I think she won't like it.......

More healing wishes, Carol. I am so sorry that this trip has been so very challenging for you. Your evident and sustained love for Bangkok is such a delight to all and such a pleasure to experience from afar. May you keep gathering your strength in these last days of 2016 so that 2017 can bring you a return to great health and continuing travel. May 2017 be a strictly "First Class" year for you.

Carol: Hope you get better soon. I just arrived into Bangkok last night and am at the condo. If you need anything, just let me know. I check my e-mail several times a day although not on a cell phone.
Happy Travels!

Fantastic! Let us know how many more days you will gave to enjoy your favorite city before heading home when you figure it out. So glad you were able to get such amazing medical care away from your regular team. Enjoy your terrace!
