Majestic Grande or Centre Point Silom?

sheesh...

I'm having a really hard time deciding between CPS & MG...
You guys really recommend CPS but MG looks so nice and centrally located...

Lloyd, I don't think you'd be unhappy with either one. CPS is a serviced apartment, so that's a different experience that being in a hotel.

don't be mistaken...CPS while near the river, and has some river views, is not really right on the river like the other river hotels...it is back one block from the river with other buildings in between....it is decent, but i think MG is nicer in some ways...

have you considered the marriott resort and spa...i think you really would like it...its our favorite...??

Thanks Bob...The Marriot is a little too pricey for us...
I think the MG is nice and will have to do

I can't compare having only stayed at Centre Point, but I can't recommend it strongly enough! I don't even want to try anywhere else - when I'm in Bangkok, it will be Centre Point for me. If I were traveling alone, I might feel differently, but with two of us, it was a real luxury to have an entire apartment for less money than a lot of hotel rooms. And while Bob is right and Centre Point is not right on the river, it's a very short walk to the pier and Skytrain - plus Robinson's Department store (with grocery in basement) is right downstairs, making it extremely convenient. Can't comment on MG - am guessing it's nice - but I can certainly vouch for Centre Point. In case you've missed pics of it, here's a link to mine:

I'm guessing you won't go wrong either way. Good luck!

Also don't know the Majestic Grande... but will say that while the CPS doesn't have river views to speak of, it is very convenient. And quite a lot really like staying in a hotel. A 24 hour front desk, doormen, housekeeping, breakfast service and room service. The rooms are very nice and they're large. We had one of the larger studios, which was a good deal at under $70 per night.
