Liberty Central Hotel, Saigon

Someone asked us to report back on this hotel, but of course i do not remember who that was so here goes...

THE HOTEL IS FANTASTIC..

it is new this year.... it is 12 stories with not that many rooms on each floor... we are paying $97 inclusive with breakfast for a small room on the club floor, booked through tonkin travel in hanoi.... i was quoted yesterday $120 per night ++ for a club room with club privledges directly from the hotel...

the restaurant is nice and affordable... we ate there last night instead of facing the rain...

the bed is the most comfortable we have had in vietnam..

the staff is very very friendly..

small open air pool on 12th floor overlooking city...

our room is bright and very clean... big safe... fridge...no tub but walk-in shower.. exhaust fan... super a/c... GREAT LOCATION, in dist. 1... ben thanh mkt is almost next door...

so whoever you are, book quick... its a very busy place!!

it's 3* but i rank it almost4...

Bob - I concur...we stayed there. I thought you were staying at the Elegance chain in Hanoi, but it seems you stayed at a different hotel. If you thought the Liberty was great, you should have tried the Elegance 3 or 5 which was even nicer than the Liberty Central.

Glad to hear my "guide" has been helpful. We find it easier to carry notes rather than a heavy book.

I think it was I who asked. We are already booked there in March, so thanks for the report! (dgunbug, we booked at the Liberty Central and the Elegance 5 on your recommendation. They both look perfect for us!)
