After months of planning (as most of you know all too well) I can't believe we are wheels up in less than 24 hours!!

Thanks so much for all of your help, guidance, good advice and warnings. Looking forward to an incredible two weeks, two days with Tong, eating my way through Bangkok, elephants, cooking class...and even having a tan for Thanksgiving.

Looking forward to your report, WaterGirl. I've never been to Bangkok myself, so you'll have to reveal all your favorite destinations.

WG- You will fall in love with the Big Mango. Just keep an open mind and try eating/doing many different things. Make sure you include having a drink (at night) on the top of the Banyan Tree Hotel or high up at the V9 bar in the Sofitel Silom.

If you are in BK on a Sat. or Sun. I know you will go to the Weekend Market. My recommendation is to arrive at market at 10-10:15 (by then 95% of vendors are all set-up)and if heat is tolerable you can do a pretty good survey of the market and buying by 1 PM. Now over-heated hope in a taxi with good A/C and off to lunch.We found more time on one visit spoiled it because we were so hot and tired.
