Learning tagalog?

Somehow, despite having a Filipino father, I managed to only learn a few cuss words. I'd like to try to learn some tagalog before I take my grand bougie tour of the PI. Best program to use? I can practice with family members.

I haven't tried to learn tagalog, but have been pleased with Pimsleur's lessons for many other languages. I've used Pimsleur's for Mandarin, French, Turkish, Korean, Castilian Spanish, Indonesian, and Greek -- and even though I have no knack for languages, I've learned at least enough to be civil and engage in some very basic conversations. In some ways, my biggest problem has been that apparently, my pronunciation of what little I can say is so good that people assume I can understand much more than I can.

Good luck!
