Le Méridien Chiang Mai

What can you folks tell me about the Le Méridien in Chiang Mai, Thailand?
Is it suitable for a couple who are used to 5 star Four Seasons class hotels?
We have decided not to go to the 4 Seasons in Chiang Mai because it is way out of the city.
Thank you

Yes, it is very nice and right in the middle of town. Walk out the door to the Night Market.

I would not classify it as 5 stars or on the same level as the Four Seasons. Try the Mandarin Dara Dhevi and it's only a 10 minutes drive from the middle of town. Also, you might not like being next to the night bazar.

The Chedi is on the river in the middle of town, but is just slightly removed from the craziness of the night bazaar. Some of the rooms lack privacy, but if you don't like the one they offer you can ask to change.

I toured the Ramanchankha several years ago when I was in Chiang Mai. I hope thay had remodeled by the time you saw it, ileness, as the bathrooms were full of mildew, the decor was minimalist to the point of being non-existent, etc. On the other hand, their restaurant had the best food we ate in CM.
