Krabi Tranfers

Any suggestions on arranging tranfers from Krabi airport to Krabi Sheraton and then from Krabi Sheraton to Phuket airport would be welcome. The prices I've been quoted by the hotel and a service seem astronomically high. Thanks.

At Krabi Airport you will find local transport, as it has so few flights most srivers are desperate for the business, if they don't get a 'fare' off your flight they head home enpty pockets until the next flight perhaps hours and hours later, so for once 'you are in control', it's not like they don't care as they can pick up another fare, you have the 'power' and it should certainly be cheaper than Sheraton.

Go into Ao nang in the evening, so to any travel/tour counter, table and chair set up and ask how much for nice car to Phuket, they will either tell you or quickly call their friend and give you a price, after the price smile, slowly walk, it will reduce, but do note that I am paying 'double' for fuel what I paid a while back so appreciate that fuel has really jumped in price.
Anyway that is the way to get a car and driver, you can also have a 'quiet word' with the porter/concierge ( I have never found one yet without an Uncle with a car!! )!

Beth did not like the bike ride in Phuket with a guide. I suspect she might not enjoy a bike transfer with luggage.

Thanks JamesA.

I think you can budget around anything from B 2,000 to 3,000 for the journey, if you use the Conciege's Uncle although nothing to do with the hotel you really should be OK as no concierge of such a place is going to dsfxs a guest and risk getting bad feedback to the resort about it.
The journey is reasonably pleasant, always use 'PTT' gas stations ( Plue and red signs )for 'service stops' as they have the best toilets, though squat downs. from Phang Nga it is now dual highway so not so interesting as it used to be.
