Korean Air carry-on baggage allowance??

Taking a trip to SE Asia on Korean Air. Our tour info says carry-on bag can't exceed 17x11x11. Has anyone traveled with Korean Air (or SmarTours). How strict are they about the size? We're also limited to 40lbs checked luggage.

Hello Marilyn, We went to China on Korean Air with SmarTours and did not have any problems. We did adhear to the weight limit. But as you travel you do accumlate more things. We were worried about it. I think the problem is mostly on the smaller inner country flights. But we managed okay. They did weigh our bags at perhaps two places. I don't think they are as strict as one might think. We had a great time and good luck to you. It is the trip of a lifetime. Have fun!
