Jim Thompson Restaurant

I saw an add about it. Been to the house/museum. Looks like a good happy hour. Anybody eaten there?

I've eaten there for lunch (both at the JT House and at the main store) a number of times over the years. Generally, the food is good - not fabulous. I've never been there for happy hour, for have I seen the ad for the happy hour.

Kathie, the ad makes me think they are trying to draw in more evening business.

I've eaten at the one at the house as well as Saladaeng Cafe, which is also run by them. The food is better than most Thai places aimed at tourists, and some of the dishes are quite good, but nothing spectacular. I think the Saladaeng branch is the only one that gets any kind of evening traffic.

There is also one inside the Isetan store at Central World. Food is good. Not great, but it is just fine for lunch while shopping.

It is a pleasant place to have lunch with nice food, but I wouldn't go there just to eat. I do like their pomelo salad.

I've eaten at the one in the main store several times, and the food has been fine. But, it's nothing that I would cross town for. When I've eaten there it's because I was already at the store shopping and needed to grab a bite.

Happy Travels!

I loved (enough to go twice) sitting by the fish-filled pond at the house and eating crab salad, beautiful place and delicious food. But I hear that the menu has changed for hamburgers?

I have been to the one at he house ( v nice) and the saladang store. There used to be one at the outlet on soi 93 m can't remember if it's still there but if I'm hungry and in need of a pad Thai I would happily eat there but like others I wouldn't cross town to eat there.

Hamburgers? That seems hard to believe.

When we are at the outlet in Dec, there was still a small restaurant there.
