You can choose Narita AS your point of origin. It sounds like you need to play around with the website a bit - you will figure it out.
Do you know about www.japan-guide.com ? It's a wonderful resource for planning.

From Narita airport to Tokyo you may take JR Limited Express train.
To see train schedule, go to http://www.hyperdia.com, click on the "SearchDetails" link to set your search filter options by unchecking airplane, shuttle bus, walk, sleeper train and slower trains. Leave Bullet train, Nozomi, and Limited Express on. (Uncheck "Nozomi" and "Private Railway" if you are using a JR Rail Pass.)
The FROM and TO input boxes are auto-fill, so if you start typing Narita into the FROM box, you will immediately see the candidates matching that word, select NARITA AIRPORT TERMINAL 1 or NARITA AIRPORT TERMINAL 2 whichever matches your arrival terminal. For the TO box, start typing HIROSHI then choose HIROSHIMA. Enter you date and hour, click on "Search" button, you will see that you either have to change train at Tokyo station or Shinagawa station, and the first leg is a Limited Express, the 2nd leg is a Shinkansen.
If you book a room at Hotel Granvia in Hiroshima, you will be at your hotel within a few minutes after your train arrives at Hiroshima Shinkansen station

Here is what you need if you are NOT USING a JR Pass: http://tinyurl.com/lk5uplq
That assumes a departure time of 5PM or later. Note that the arrival times are all pretty late at night. If you plan to travel on a JR Pass then making the trip that night does not look possible.
Here are options, without a JR Pass, departing 4:44PM or later: http://tinyurl.com/kuh9bl8
This is departure from 5PM or later: http://tinyurl.com/m8xp3rv
Notice that the arrival times for all of these options are the next morning. The first option, for example, has an almost 6 hour stop in Mihara from about midnight to 5:44 AM when you get a JR local for a 75 minute trip. What a way to start a day.
You would be better off flying. I can't find a decent fare for that date though. Not today anyway, but maybe in a month. If you have some frequent flyer miles to spend then one-way domestic Japan awards are cheap (like 6,000 miles on United).

Apologies for a significant error. In the above, it should have said:
Here are options, WITH a JR Pass, departing 4:44PM or later: http://tinyurl.com/kuh9bl8
Thing is, you very well won't make those trains, so looking at 5PM or later WITH a JR Pass gives these results: http://tinyurl.com/m8xp3rv
By "with a JR Pass" means that I simply unchecked the Nozomi box in the search parameters.
Those searches are for a day in January. You can try the same searches on your day of travel but I doubt that you will find any better.
