Japan: Itami airport hotel
I have a very early flight out of Itamo that connects to flight from Narita to home in the USA. I need to stay as close to Itami as possible the night before. I know there is a hotel inside Itami airport (http://www.airport-htl.com/) but the ebsite is only in Japanese. Has anyone stayed very close to the airport at a place w/a shuttle that they can recommend (and preferably some English spoken?) I am not interested in staying in Osaka, I need to be closer to the airport and do not want to be hauling luggage around. Thanks in advance.

limo bus from kyoto hotel would work, of course
I did have reservations to fly to Osaka next month, using a United travel certificate. I let that res expire and made a new one to fly to Nagoya. Let that die, too, after I learned that the validity of the travel certificate was extended a year to Dec 31, 2006. I was planning to use it on the United nonstop from Dulles to Buenos Aires, but it is a lot farther from L.A.

No, mrwunrfl, unfortunately the limo bus from kyoto does not work. I know th ebus scheudles, and the earliest I can get to Itami in the morning on that bus is 7 a.m.- that is when the bus pulls up outside the airport. Then I have to get inside w/luggage and my daughter and get to the counter, and my flight is at 8 a.m. Since I would be checking luggage through to Dulles (don't have to reclaim it at Narita) it is ANA policy that I MUST be checked in one hour prior to the flight. If I am not, I miss my connection and my Narita flight. Believe me, I'd rather do the morning flight than go to Itami night before, but I called ANA and spoke at length about it before I posted this question, and they said I must be checked in one hr. prior, which is not possible.
Mara, thanks for the tip. I missed that one on the other forum.
Any other suggestions?

mara, I checked that one- actually I had seen it and had it bookmarked but it is a 5 min. walk and no shuttle. I will have luggage and stuff acquired from the trip so and was hoping for a shuttle from hotel to airport.
Since I am not finding anything in that category, I might ask my Japanese-for-travlers teacher if she will help me book the hotel inside the airport. Considering it is inside the airport, the rates are not that high, and it won't matter if they speak English (plus by then I will hopefully have enough Jpanaese to deal w/hotel check in and check out).
