we broke up the trip between jodphur and jaipur with a 2 night stay in chatrasagar, a highlight of our whole holiday. look into it! (one day, 2 nights is enough, but what a wonderful full day of exploring you will have there, and great food in a great/unique tented setting on a reservoir/ bird sanctuary

also, we too stayed in samode, but only spent the day in jaipur, didn't sleep there. I think we had a very full and enjoyable day in jaipur, and it was enough.
