Itin. HELP! please
My fiance and I will be traveling to tokyo and vietnam for our honeymoon.
right now we're planning on staying in Tokyo for 4 days and then vietnam for 8 days.
two questions:
1. should we spend 1 less day in Tokyo and add a day to our vietnam travels?
In vietnam, we're flying into Hanoi and leaving from Saigon.
2. right now, i think we'll spend 3 days in Hanoi, 1 day in Haplong Bay, 2 days in Hoi An OR Nha Trang and then 2 days in Saigon.
Is this too much? where should we spend more/less time?
Thanks for your advice.

I was in Tokyo recently and LOVEd it. Dying to go back to Japan to do Kyoto, Hakone, etc. Culturally VERY rich. Only thing is compared to Vietnam (which I really like as well) and most other places in Asia Japan is verrrry expensive. What you will get for your money is less in most senses - hotels, restaurants, sightseeing are all pricey. So, if you would rather have a more luxurious holiday in Vietnam this time you can spend all 12 days there - which is really not a lot for Vietnam - and save Tokyo for a subsequent trip.

Hobbes-
thank you for your reply. we're seeing that tokyo is verry expensive and since this trip is for our honeymoon- we don't want to skimp- but don't know when we'll be able to make it back to asia. so we're trying to get the best of both worlds. it seems like we should shorten our tokyo stay and add a day on the beach in vietnam.
p.s.
we'll be there in June/July. I've heard that's oppressively hot. true or false?
thanks again.
