I flew China Airlines between Taipei and SFO this past spring. I was in coach, and it was fine. No problems but nothing special either. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again - their fares were low and I received Delta FF miles.

They have one of the worst safety records of all airlines in the 90's to early 00's, but no crash recently. If that matters to you.

Thanks for the replies. Did not know I could get Delta FF miles. Will check on this. Bad safety record did not make my day, but will take a deep breath and close my eyes.
