Hotels in Krabi- would like your recommendations

Hi everyone! Im looking for your recommendations on a 4 to 5 star hotel in Krabi. I would like a hotel on the beach with great views and my budget is no more than $250/night. However, im going with a group of 6 and we are willing to share the cost of a villa that can fit all of us if its more than $250/night. But we are fine with staying in 3 separate rooms if we cant seem to find a villa to accomodate all of us. Ive looked at a few that were recommended on Tripadviser and i really like the Amari Vogue Krabi, The Sheraton Krabi, and the Sofitel. But i want to ensure im not overlooking any other fabulous hotels.

Thanks in advance for all your feedback!

i have stayed several times at the sheraton and it is very nice and affordable... no villas... good beach, good pools, huge property and restaurants right across the street as well as at hotel...

look at amari vogue too

sofitel is nice but across the street from a not so nice beach...nice hotel however...

Jim, I read on Tripadvisor that RaRa had died. She was apparently sent to a sanctuary in Chiang Mai but she was so used to being around people, she got depressed and didn't live long.

We stay at Aonang Nagapura in their pool villa & I thnk its the only place with pool villa around there. The price is quite cheap , we booked for honeymoon package and paid about 13,000 for 2 nights in private pool villa , island tour and romantic dinner in our villa, very nice & very romantic.
They also have large pool and pool bar which is also very nice.

We were trying to look for 3 bedrooms villas as well but most of villas seem to be very far and in the middle of no where. Then we found this pool villa of the resort which work quite good as we still have privacy & get services from hotel.

For this price range I woudl recommend this, otherwise there's Phula Ritz Carlton , over the top but totally worth it!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions! After searching diligently, we decided to book the Amari Vogue Krabi and just booked 3 seperate bedrooms. I must say though, that the manager responded right away and said he would try to ensure our 3 rooms were located close each other. Which is great! Ive heard great things about this resort and the pictures look amazing...cant wait!!

please report back here how you liked it...

i have eaten there a couple of times---very very good---try the chef's special knochi's... but i have never stayed there... you will love it i am sure...

the thai restaurant opposite to the entrance to the sheraton is very good food, as is the restaurant at the top of the hill above the vogue--end of the road
