The location is ok. Several minutes walk from Shinjuku station. Looks like it is east of Kabukicho, a redlight district, and your most direct route would not be through Kabukicho. A couple of closer subway stations. It is near Shinjuku Gyoen, a large park.

They lock the doors between 1AM and 5:30AM

The website says it is an economy hotel but the rates are not that great, for the twin room in particular. They have twin rooms at 13000, 15000, and 17000. You can get a twin at the Hilton for 17900. The single rooms at 7800 and 8400 might be ok.

As mrwnrfl says, the rates are not great. They are pretty expensive actually. The rooms are tiny, tiny, tiny...single is 11 m2 - twin is 13 m2 if I remember correctly from their website. Breakfast is an additional 880...expensive for what is probably lousy food. Pictures on websites are just about always much nicer than the reality...and the pictures of this place look pretty grim for the price. I wouldn't stay there with all the other choices you have in that price range.

It says 15 minute walk to Shinjuku station, but nearer to subways. Shinjuku Hilton and the Hyatt are both a similar distance from Shinjuku station and in the same price range for a twin room, but infinitely better hotels.

Shinjuku is a fine area to stay, on subway lines and JR lines, lots of restaurants and shopping, easy to get around Tokyo from Shinjuku. But I'd look for another hotel.

The double room is 24 m2, I was wrong. Still not big, but lots bigger than the 13 I said it was.
