Peteralan : The New World Renaissance is in TSM across the road and down a bit from the Y. Also not far from the Peninsula. A great thing about this hotel is that you can go out the lobby door and right onto the Avenue of Stars which is the best place to view the nightly sound and light show and also a great walk along the waterfront. As I said earlier, the location just can't be beat.

Travelmug, I contacted BP International to request the special 3000HKD rate and they sent back an email saying that it wasn't available for March or April. Funny, that's not stated on their site. I sent back an email staying as much and haven't heard from them yet. I'll try other hotels and hopefully find a great rate somewhere!

Message: just got back from Hong Kong. Stayed at the Kowloon Hotel - small rooms - you all were not kidding!. However, the location is perfect. The hotel is very clean, wonderful service. We flew Cathay Pacific and got a special rate with buffet breakfast and free pick-up drop off to the airport through Cathay Pacific holidays.

Thanks Spygirl and galiano. Of course that's where it is .Last time I was there I tried not to see the scaffolding The price seems pretty reasonable for that area.Sorry royben to hijack you!

Silvia1808 : My best tip would be this - don't eat breakfast at the hotel. Go out the parking area door and on your right there is a San Francisco Coffee shop where you can get a decent breakfast and great coffee. Be sure to get one of the booths out on the harbour side for great views.
