Hong Kong - Jewellers for custom rings and jade
Hello, can anyone recommend reputable jewellers in Hong Kong for custom rings? My partner and I are primarily looking into 18k yellow gold. A shop that does work with jade would be good as well.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I can recco three jewelers. I think the first may be the best for you for custom work, she makes very unusual modern pieces if that is what you are looking for, you can get an idea from her website. She has a very good reputation in Hong Kong. You know that you have to be very careful about buying jade as fakes abound, but I believe Tayma is very trustworthy. The other two would be good but would be more traditional in their settings I think. Tayma and Lane Joalillier are in the same building in Central.
I don't know how long you have in Hong Kong, sometimes custom work takes a while.

Thanks for the great info, Cicerone.
Do you know how long custom jewelry work generally takes? I guess it probably varies a lot... like are we talking days, or weeks? I will be in HK for about 13 days (with a 3-day side trip to Macau somewhere in there), is that generally enough time to have jewellery made? We are already planning to try and go to the jewellers and tailors on our first day in HK.

I think 12 days would be enough. Yes, you can have it mailed, but I would personally like to SEE it and try it on first.....custom work usually means you have to readjust the design more than once.
