Ho Chi Minh City in approx 10 days
Might be a dumb question... is there enough to do in HCMC in approximately 10 days or should I move on earlier. Time is not a huge issue. I like taking things slowly without cramming sightseeing in to 12 hours a day. I like relaxation/people watching time.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I have been to HCMC a few time over the last 20 odd years and love the place. It is a buzzing sort of place and not really the best for relaxation but great for people watching.. I think the longest I have stayed was about a week and that a little too much. You could add on 2 or 3 days at a homestay in the delta if that interests you ( the day trips are really not worth it unless short on time.) If you have a month in Vietnam , which I think is the max for a tourist visa, then I would only spend 4 or 5 days there as there is so much else to see in the country.

I'm not a big fan of Saigon, I much prefer Hanoi, but some of that is the heat and humidity. Besides a visit to the delta, don't miss the Cao Dai temple. I would think three to four days for the city and the Cao Dai temple, plus one or two for the delta. Depends on where you're going next- if you're headed to Cambodia you can see the delta on the way - I recommend doing Saigon to PP by water.

Like you we travel very leisurely these days. I really enjoyed Saigon, but 10 days would be way to much for me to spend there even with a side trip to the Delta. We spent 2 nights in the Delta and while we enjoyed it, one night would be fine.
