Guys, guys, guys (and gals) thank you for carrying on in my short absence. I only have 15 minutes in the ANA first class lounge, as we circled above NRT for a l-o-n-g time, and then I had to run to my connecting gate within a 15 minute timeframe. Thank goodness I was in the fast track thru immigration/passport/security.
Got to the gate, expecting to walk right onto the plane (only a chance for toilet stop), but we are delayed for 15 minutes due to the late arrival of my 882 from BKK. (late?.. NRT made us LATE...we left BKK on time)
Anyway, this lounge is not nearly so impressive as the Thai lounge at BKK! No comparison. And there is no time for a shower, so I can't tell you about the facilities. Barely have time to log one, drink one fast cup of coffee, and get out of here! Thank goodness, we leave from gate 45, which is right down at the bottom of the escalator from this lounge. If it were not for the location, I would not be sitting up here right now. Close .... very close.... to my gate is quite necessary this time around.
Service with a polite smile. Welcome... a cold wet cloth, and 'what would you like to drink'...
That's all there is time for.
Forgot.. the TV in the Thai lounge swivels, so I could move it w/remote control to any comfortable position, depending upon which chair or sofa or desk I had selected for seating. COOL!!!
Bob, I know you love the 'main lounge' area the best. To each his/her own. I'll take this one, frankly.
See you in when I get home, in about 16 hours.
Carol
(yes, that's a compliment... about the hair)

Glad to hear that the lounges were such a great experience. AF at Kennedy was really a let down, let's see what the Paris one is like. Leave for Sweden in 3 hours to attend our family royal wedding
I love traveling business or first class, a life style that it is very easy to get used to.
Bon Voyage Carol

I'm home! It took three hours to make the drive from OHare. I was really getting sleepy the last 35 miles or so. I slept pretty good on my flt home, but I'm sure I'll be jetlagged for a while.
Anyway, home to my own bed, and pizza and wine for dinner!

Your luck is almost as bad as mine Carol. The last time I was in that lounge I was suffering from the leftover effects of food poisoning. As you saw you didn't miss out on much unless you are into noodles. Welcome home and see you soon!
Aloha!
