I hope they're putting those of us who bought our Premier Economy tickets long ago...like mine in Feb 2008...back into Premier Economy before selling tickets to folks who are just buying them. I still haven't heard from Thai Air and I absolutely won't have time to even attempt to call them until sometime at the end of next week. I can only do so much in the course of a day and I'm already stressed beyond the limit. Happy Travels!

Oh, I forgot to say that I got a call, on my answering machine, from Thai Air to say that they were going back to the old, non-stop, schedule and that I would no longer be in Business Class on the L.A.-Osaka-BK route since I'm now back in Premium Economy on the non-stop route. I didn't realize that I had finally been upgraded to Business Class.

I just hope that this is the LAST of it!

Happy Travels!

Is this a joke or are you serious? I don't see the JFK flight listed on the Thai website.

vikinggirl, scroll down to the bottom of his message and you'll see:

"oh sorry that is a joke...."

Bob's got a twisted sense of humor. We love him and empathize with him...kind of like a mentally-challenged poster child.

He doesn't qualify to be mentally-challenged. He's just spiteful.

Ok, how many of us went running to the Thai Air website looking for the "new" and "restored" JFK non stop? All I found was the LAX flight, at a high price for spring travel.

At this point I am thinking Bob got some kind of kickback from TG for spreading the false rumor. . . .

I totally agree.

It is for this reason we must not be too censorious of afterall and his pithy tongue-lashings; of AskOksana his sex-crazed, masturbatory ramblings, gpanda his strange speedo fetish, Guenmai her lavish obsession with Thai Air - even Dogster his ramblings.

Bless us all, Tiny Tim, bless us all.

Noooo ....
I didn't see the rest of the message.
I feel like an idiot now. I would LOVE if they reinstated the JFK-BKK flight.
Cheers,

I'm just glad to see that my long-standing displeasure with Bob's antics is now shared. Hey I've got to go to dinner with the clown. Can Thai Air fly him away from here? Maybe a charter? I could easily take up a collection.

They're also moving all operations back to Don Muang.

Yes, that's also just a joke...

In the same vein (Thai Air schedule changes) I've just found out that our overnight flight from Osaka to Bangkok on January 30 has been cancelled. The "new" Thai Air flight leaves KIX at 10:30 AM and arrives BKK at 3:00 PM. This screws up our connection in Bangkok for a morning Bangkok Air flight on Jan 30th to Luang Prabang.
The only option seems to be leaving Osaka 18 hours earlier, on January 29th at 10:30 AM, and spending the night at the Bangkok airport. Guenmai (or others), any luck in getting an accommodation voucher, or other compensation, from Thai Air for what they did to you?

As far as my messy, back and forth Thai Air situation, and other messiness, I handled the whole situation by calling them the day after Thanksgiving and canceling and went to Buenos Aires instead and just got back last night.

Get a voucher? I doubt it. They didn't offer me a voucher when they changed my flight back and forth thus informing me that I would be leaving a day earlier than planned. I would have ended up with a loss of a day's salary and an extra night to pay at my serviced apartment building. It's good I don't prepay, so when I canceled everything I didn't lose out on my apartment.

Then they changed the flight back to the original schedule after I had notified my serviced apartment building that I needed to arrive a day earlier.

In the future, hopefully I'll be able to afford to go back to flying to Bangkok, by way of Singapore, and on Singapore Air. Happy Travels!
