Personally, if I had only two days, I'd spend all of my time at the temples. Some people love the floating village experience, others feel it is a waste of time. I spent a week in SR, so was able to spend lots of time at the temples as well as going to the floating village. But if I only had two days, it would be the temples.

I just got an e-mail from Tong last night and then another one from her just this morning. In this morning's e-mail she said that she was in the hospital. I think it's due to exhaustion. It was a bit difficult to make out the English. I'm hiring her in December as a Christmas present to a friend of mine who'll meet me in Bangkok. Happy Travels!

Her English was hard to understand on our email to! Its usually really good. At first i thought everything was ok with her because she started of the email talking about my wifes tattoo of hanuman! Then told us all about the hospital.

I just got an e-mail from Tong updating me on her condition. I sent her an e-mail reply about an hour ago. All of her medical tests have come back negative so she's really relieved about that. However, she's very tired. A big part of the exhaustion is that she doesn't live in Bangkok so she has to drive quite a way to get to her clients in Bangkok and then that combined with not eating properly for a week, and being stressed is what has caused the stomach problem. We all know how horrendous the traffic is in and around Bangkok. So, I gave her a little lecture about eating properly, taking care of herself, and getting some serious rest and to remember how important good health is since without it you have nothing. I'll probably hear back from her later today for an update. I told her that I'd let you all know how she's doing. Although I don't have her booked until December, I told her that I'd give her a ring when I get to Bangkok in a couple of weeks to see how she's doing. Happy Travels!

Thanks for the updates. Send her our love. I have her booked for November. Tried sending emails directly yesterday, but they kept bouncing back. I was quite worried about her. Does anyone know, did she have some sort of surgery or just tests?

Jules... I just got an e-mail from Tong and have e-mailed her back. She's better and said that she won't be so "crazy" from now on. Smiles. In other words she'll take it easy. She is very grateful for all of the concern of her condition from folks on this forum and says that she can't believe how great we all are over here. So, she asked me to call her when I get to Bangkok in a couple of weeks, so I'll talk to her then. Happy Travels!

Thanks Guen. I will wait a little while before emailing her to see how she is doing so that she will hopefully take it easy. Thanks for letting her know that so many people are concerned about her.

it seems she got sick thinking of having to entertain mr panda for another day.....all those stupid questions, like: "what is phad thai?"
"why is the river so dirty?"
"do you speak english?"
"do they have a flush toilet?"
"can i eat street food?"
"ice or no ice"
"does the oriental really have brown water?"
"is it true that the ROS is the best hotel in bkk?"
